Asolo, Montebelluna, Bassano del Grappa

sunny 10 °C

After the standard rental car mission - Gigi driving like the natives and me trying to spot road signs to get us to the right place at almost the right time - we've settled into a sweet spot in an agritourismo (motel/B&B) on the hill 20 minutes drive from Asolo. The breakfast is impossible to beat in Anthony's eyes - its got homemade chocolate brownie/cake thingy on the buffet table!!

So far managed to achieve 2 pizzas and 2 gelato in 2 days, a shopping mission at factory shops and some nice time with the Santin family - more to come with them in the mountains from this weekend. A nice cruise to Bassano del Grappa today - free from tourists at this time of year and nice evening sunset to make it as nice as it can be.

Story's from Caitlin:

Sentosa Water Park: Monday 12th January

sunny 32 °C

We arrived by a monorail, that took us to Sentosa Island. At the water park the first ride we went on was the Adventure River. On the adventure river we floated down the river on blow-up donuts. We went through an artificial rock cave, water falls and tunnels with fish and sting rays swimming around and over us. We went on water slides on blow-up donuts and rafts that we sat on. We went snorkelling in an artificial reef with fish swimming under us. We did a ropes course above water and we went diving off a high and low platform. It was a fun day!!

Water park adventure at Sentosa the perfect mission in the heat of the Singapore sauna, no rain drops helped the cause too!!

A nice catch up with Ben Chappy a chinatown - mmmmmm food (again)!!

A long day before a midnight departure!! Spent it cruising at hotel pool, then wandering along the Singapore River checking out famous sights.

Then had an awesome couple of hours in the Da Vinci exhibition at the ArtScience Museum. He was a pretty impressive dude - a serious brain that covered some amazing fields of thought - maybe he could've solved climate change.

Taxis in this part of the world aren't too well designed for large luggage en route to a skiing holiday - and that is without having skis!

Chilled out at Changi airport before getting on the massive A380 to be looked after nicely by the Germans. You know its a large plane when Row 57 Economy is in the front cabin!!

Lovely time with the cousins, Nana, Lopez and Sven.

A fine taxi service and lamb feast provided too!!

A shame the NZ Cricket planners didn't fit their schedule around our timetable, but at least they won - Anthony and Caitlin proudly wearing the team caps!!
